So what is Digital Transformation?
Put simply, it’s about changing the way you work by better utilising technology; bringing together IT and communications to empower smarter working. With constrained and changing resources and pressure to ‘do more with less’ Charities must change the way they work. Once the technology is fixed, you can focus on your job and become more productive. We can provide advice and support to:-
- Save your charity money
- Protect your donor data and help to drive fundraising income
- Improve communication with colleagues and beneficiaries
- Enhance security and back ups
- Help to avoid compliance issues
- Resolve IT issues e.g. access emails and share documents remotely, slow internet connections and old servers
What is a Digital Transformation Strategy?
Class Networks is an expert at helping charities improve productivity by understanding your frustrations and challenges, looking at your technology environment and how people work together. We will help and advise at each stage of your cloud journey, guiding you through each digital stage:-
- The Digital Workshop
- Your Digital Roadmap
- Digital Strategy Implementation
Digital Workshop
We will kick start your strategy with a 2 hour workshop with key stakeholders to understand the current situation, future plans and a review of your existing IT infrastructure and operational processes. Don’t worry about the technology simply tell us what’s NOT working and we can help with step 1 of your journey to the cloud!
- Can’t access emails when out of the office
- Unreliable connectivity and slow internet connection
- Lack of control over sharing sensitive data
- Security and back-up worries
- Homeworkers and remote workers can’t access documents
- Unable to share calendars and files
- Old on-premise servers
- IT could be better at supporting the organisation
We understand that people are at the heart of change and workshops give employees a voice to provide feedback. It also helps with implementation to create a culture to embrace digital transformation.
Digital Roadmap
Following your workshop, we will summarise the findings and help you to build a business case for changing IT and present this as part of step by step improvement plan. However, it’s not just about the technology or an IT change, it requires a change in culture. We will help you to rethink how you use technology, people and processes to change the way you operate.
The roadmap will present:-
- Improvements to current working practices and user experience
- Deliver robust, future proof and secure underlying technology
- Simplify the supply chain and remove the blame culture
- Provide an affordable and demonstratable return on investment
Digital Implementation
Our experienced team will work with you as your inhouse resource, designing and scheduling the best plan to implement, migrate, train and support the whole organisation. The successful implementation of any digital strategy will need the backing of your people and optimising your IT & Comms infrastructure. This includes:-
- Connectivity (broadband and multi-site networking)
- Voice and Multi-media Communication
- Cyber Security
- Cloud IT Infrastructure (Azure)
- Microsoft Applications (Office 365)
- Mobility and Device Management

Adoption UK – How moving to the Cloud and using digital technology has helped make a difference to their cause
Adoption UK have truly embraced digital transformation across their charity to increase response times, training support and overall help to adoptive parents and social workers. This is a fantastic example of how Class Networks can help charities to embrace technology to improve teamwork and productivity; and ultimately drive greater social impact.
Read about the positive impact that digital technology has had on a normal working day at Adoption UK
“The biggest difference is that now I can access all the documents I need, wherever I am, on whatever tablet, laptop or phone I’m using. It also means carrying less equipment which is good for practical and physical reasons! However, the most rewarding aspect of being able to access documents ‘on the go’ is that I can be more responsive to the needs of the adoptive parents and social workers. If a thought comes into my head ‘oh I have a film, document, flyer that explains that topic’, I can access it on the spot. Even without WIFI; OneDrive means things like this are now possible”.
Phillipa Williams, Adoption UK
